On May 21, IU Credit Union was awarded, for the first time ever, the Bowl for Kids' Sake "Battle of the Banks" (& Credit Unions) trophy, which we will rotate through our branches in the upcoming year. In addition to a $1,000 sponsorship donation, we raised a total of $6,443 for Big Brothers Big Sisters through various internal events. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to participate in this campaign serving the children in our community.

IUCU has proudly participated in the Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, IN Women's Build for the last four years. This year, our 10-person build team focused on the doors, siding and trim on the house. A special thanks goes to IUCU Investment Services Financial Advisor, Mindy R.-S., who has coordinated the build every year.

The IU Credit Union Business Lending team signed on to "Eat Like a Kid and Give Like a Grown-Up" on Thrive by Five Giving Day, to raise funds for early childhood education. Our IUCU team also tried their hands at a jellyfish mask-making craft project. Hosted by Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, Thrive by Five funding is used to sustain and support Monroe Smart Starts Birth-to-Five Coalition, to help ensure area children are ready for school and ready for life.
